Spring 2026 Voting Rules

All-Star Teams
  1. Coaches in every division will truthfully and honestly nominate players from their own team that they believe will be an asset to the All-Star team to represent Huffman Sports Association.
  2. Coaches will need to let the parents of the kids they are nominating know the tournament dates to make sure their kid can even participate in All-Stars before nominations.
  3. Only after verifying players can play in the tournaments, coaches will give their nominations to the VP of their division.
  4. VP’s will put all nominations made by all coaches on paper separated by team names.
  5. On the day of voting, each coach will go through their list and talk about the players they nominated discussing why they believe that player will be an asset to the All-Star team.
  6. Each coach will then vote on the 9 most talented players from that nomination sheet they believe will be the best players to represent HSA in the All-Star tournaments. they will then turn their paper into the VP so they can tally up all the votes made by all the coaches. (Do not purposefully not vote on a player assuming they will be saved by the head coach’s pick.)
  7. The top 9 players that have the most votes will make the All-Star team. If there is a tie between players, the coaches will be asked again to vote to break the tie until the top 9 is decided upon.
  8. Coaches in their own division will then vote on the All-Star coach that they believe will represent HSA well and be an asset for the All-Star team. If there is a tie between coaches, then all the coaches will be asked again to vote until it is narrowed down to one person. VP and Commissioner will have the final approval for the coach.
  9. The All-Star coach will then be able to pick the last 3 players for their team. It can be any 3 players that registered to play in that division (not just nominated players).
  10. The All-Star coach can choose any assistant coach(es) they want as long as they were a head coach or an assistant coach of that division.
  11. The All-Star coach will have one day to let their VP know of the 3 players and assistant coaches they are adding to the team. After 1 day, the VP will make the decision for you.
  12. Every division will have 12 players on their roster. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  13. The All-Star coach needs to verify again with every player on the roster that they will be able to play in the tournaments, along with their jersey and hat size. Notify their VPs immediately.
  14. If a player decides they are not able to play after the roster has been finalized, YOU MUST NOTIFY YOUR VP IMMEDIATELY along with the player you are adding to the roster.
  15. YOU AND YOUR PLAYERS REPRESENT HUFFMAN SPORTS ASSOCIATION. If there is any concern by the HSA board that you are not suitable for the task in hand, they will ask you to pass the torch to another coach.
  16. There will only by one All-Star team per division unless it is brought to the HSA board to be approved.
